Save the date for the Holiday Party on Saturday December 6th.

Message from the President’s Desk – Ruth W.

It’s November and it’s almost time for the holidays! Have you noticed all the holiday decorations up in the stores already? It’s amazing…..most just skipped Halloween and went directly to Holiday decorations. That being said, it’s only a month until our own Holiday Party which is always a special event. It’s scheduled for Saturday evening, December 6th, so mark your calendars and save the date for this festive occasion.

Oktoberfest was a huge success with 42 people attending. We partied at the beautiful home of Lisa and Joe T’s who were wonderful hosts. Marilyn and Mary Jo catered a delicious dinner of brats, sauerkraut, German potato salad, potato pancakes and more. Everything was scrumptious! We lucked out with the weather too….it was a lovely 70 degrees that evening. Thank you Lisa, Joe, Marilyn and Mary Jo for organizing a fabulous party!

Most of the activities in the last month have been well attended including Lunch Bunch in which 15 of us gathered at Mary Parsons’ home to eat a yummy lunch consisting of homemade soups, salads, breads and desserts. Although lunch was great, the best part was spending time chatting with other members and getting to know the newest members who were there.

I’m eager to meet all the new members at the New Member Coffee. If you are new and need a ride, call me and I will put you in touch with someone who lives in your area. Hope to see you there!

Birthday Club

Happy Birthday to everyone celebrating a birthday in November!!
